My Weekly Plans – Week 1

One of the things I have decided to do on this journey is to plot out my weekly plans. So here’s my first post detailing the things I plan on doing during the week. This is to keep me more focused and organised. While there will be small differences from week to week, the bulk of my weekly plans will largely stay the same. But as life is highly unpredictable, anything can happen. The point is that I am doing everything I can to make the most of life and 2016. So here goes:

Week 2 – Jan 11 – 17

  1. Write 100 words minimum daily
  2. Revise my resume
  3. Work out at least 4 days
  4. Sign up with Jeffry to a gym
  5. Get a bookcase
  6. Write a book review (on Tuesday or Wednesday)
  7. Write weekly report for Simon’s project (on the 14th)
  8. Watch a minimum of 7 episodes of shows I need to catch up on
  9. Get a new job and/or put in my 2 weeks (what I am most excited for ;))
  10. Game an hour each day
  11. Get my finance spreadsheet set up
  12. Continue cleaning up email

Well, might not seem like much, but these are the major things I want to get done this week. Some might seem trivial and unimportant, but most of these are helping me reach the goals I have set for myself this year. I have made a habit of pushing off things I’ve had and needed to do for years (like finishing my second book). It’s not like I haven’t had good reasons, like moving across an ocean and getting my MA, but I’ve been back in the States now for over a year so I have no excuses. 

It’s a great feeling taking control of your life and moving forward with it. Especially with so much to be thankful for. We are each accountable for the direction our life takes. Either we will succeed and reach our dreams, or we will plateau and stay the same. I wasn’t made to stay the same. Neither were you. Have an amazing day and a blessed week 🙂
