Happy New Year 2016!!!!!!

Despite being already one week into the new year, I would be remiss not to wish all you lovely people a healthy, successful, and happy new year 🙂

Happy New Year 2016
Happy New Year to us 🙂

Like every new year, we have the beautiful opportunity for a new beginning.  As you can see above, I started mine out nicely.  My new year started with a kiss, fireworks, hot chocolate, and a rousing game of parcheesi.  Simple, but sometimes the best things in life are the simplest.

With the beginning of the new year inevitably comes the setting of goals to complete within the next 12 months.  And I have a few.  Some are silly and seemingly insignificant and others are bigger and seemingly vital.  Big or small they are important to me.  I have yet to come up with a completed listing of my goals (which is currently in the works), but here is a tasting of what I shall be completing this year:

  • Complete/Watch tv shows
  • Beat one video game a month
  • Write 52 book review/travel posts (one a week at my other blog)
  • Finish writing and publish book 2
  • Do something or go somewhere new each month
  • Be back in shape by my birthday (so just over 6 months)

Obviously I still need to flesh out all the details on how I shall accomplish these tasks, and whatever else I end up adding.  Each day will see some degree of progress.

To keep me accountable towards my success, I am using an opportunity from my good friend Simon as a weekly report (check out the challenge here).  I may post more if the desire so arises.  Each week I will post a photo (or a couple) of what happened during my week and report the success/failings during this period.  Honestly, I am very excited for this.  It’s a beautiful feeling.

And so I begin on this journey.  I have high hopes for 2016.  I hope you enjoy the adventure as much as I will.  Have a blessed and glorious new year.  Much love 🙂
